| Since 1998, S. Prashanth has been CEO & Managing Director of Akmin Technologies Private Limited. Akmin products include do-it-yourself website buildingsoftware and web content management software. |
Akmin's products and services span 1,100 Service Providers in 45 Countries with a client base of over 565,000 website customers. Prashanth's vision has been to move website creation into the hands of non-technical users, allowing small businesses, not-for-profit organizations & individuals to create & manage their own websites, reducing cost & technical barriers.
Prashanth is excited to be a part of dotMobi's mobile web initiative, as he believes this will benefit developing countries, for example India and China, where mobile devices have reached remote parts of the country and is commonly owned by the population, unlike the personal computer.
Prashanth's educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from University of Madras, Chennai, India and MBA from PSG Institute of Technology & Management in Coimbatore, India. |
