As a global subject matter expert on mobile Internet and digital media initiatives, Michael has been a featured speaker and considered a leading mobile media industry futurist. In addition to shaping the early market practices of the Open Mobile Alliance, he was a co-founder of the Wireless Advertising Industry Association (now operating as the Mobile Marketing Association) and the WAP Forum's Developers Expert Group (now operating under the Open Mobile Alliance).
Over the last 15 years, Michael has played a key strategic role in the launch of innovative new products and service globally with: Nokia, Motorola, Ericsson, TD Waterhouse, National Bank of Canada, RBC Financial, Carlson Marketing, Whirlpool, Ford, VeriSign, RSA Security, the dotMobi company and mobile network operators globally including Eurotel, Orange, Telecom Italia, Rogers Wireless, Fido, Bell Mobility and many more.
Michael has been supporting the creation and development of the .mobi domain since 2001, when the first application for the mobile Top Level Domain was initially registered with ICANN. He was a member of the mTLD Top Level Domain, Ltd. (dotMobi) Membership Advisory Group creation team and is a founding charter member of the dotMobi Advisory Group and Policy Advisory Board. |
