dotMobi is the informal name of mTLD Top Level Domain, Ltd and is the company responsible for the .mobi Top Level Domain. It is an industry-wide consortium that was officially created in July 2005, after the signing of a contract with ICANN which signalled the way for the creation of the .mobi domain for mobiles. dotMobi depends on input from dotMobi stakeholders and actively seeks out opportunities to reach out to the mobile Internet community. In order to help ascertain the needs of the community globally, dotMobi has established two independent working groups - the dotMobi Advisory Group (MAG) and the Policy Advisory Board (PAB). These groups will provide feedback and policy guidance respectively on .mobi and dotMobi's registry operations.
