Message from the dotMobi Advisory Group Team

Congratulations to the dotMobi team and its accredited registrars for selling over 500,000 .mobi domain names in less than a year. As we have been building out the dotMobi Advisory Group (MAG) in 2007, we been very fortunate to witness dotMobi history in the making first-hand. Additionally, the phenomenal growth experienced by dotMobi is also happening with the MAG – highlights include:

  • Over 30 global companies committed to joining the MAG in March and April alone.
  • Tim Ruiz of Go Daddy, Doug Rozen of Carlson Marketing Worldwide and Renaud di Francesco of Sony have been elected to join the MAG Steering Committee.
  • Mobile Email, Mobile Browsing, Mobile Commerce and Mobile Advertising Task Forces are created to review and recommend new product and best practice opportunities to dotMobi.
  • MAG industry alliances are being negotiated to help our members better understand global market policies, industry best practices and identify new commercialisation opportunities for our members.
  • MAG member participation in dotMobi executive meetings, dotMobi Investor Board meetings, Policy Advisory Board meetings and global industry events.

Going forward in 2007, the MAG executive team will concentrate its efforts on providing its members, industry alliances and dotMobi with a global forum to advance the development of .mobi-based product, policy and commercialisation initiatives.

Join the MAG today. Join us in shaping the future of the mobile Internet with .mobi domains.

Best regards,

Michael J. O’Farrell
